Bus TX5 took us from the hotel bus stop all the way to the doorstep of Movie World. The bus ride only cost us AUD4.20per person.
The journey took about 30 minutes from Caville Avenue; and the theme park was completely deserted - of course, we had arrived at 8.40 AM, when they are only to open at 10 AM!. The ticket counters were still closed, so we had our own-made grilled tuna sandwiches while busy taking photos till they are open.
The view from the bus. This is the Gold Coast-Brisbane highway.
Not a single soul in sight!
Batman getting ready for action! hehe
More waiting... and the crowd getting bigger!
Owh! I got a bit disappointed!
Btw, we still managed to have fun!
The Superman Escape rollercoaster! One of my favourite rides at Movie World!
Next, the Batwing Spaceshot ride.
There they go!
Unexpected fun! I tought the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster would be just child-play, but I was wrong! It was a full-fledged indoor rollercoaster that was much fun!!!!
En Arip was looking forward to the Lethal Weapon killakoasta* but it wasn't open! *Killakoasta - that's En Arip's original word!
Chocolate time! Just to tone down the adrenaline.
The crowd at the Mainstreet open-air stage.
The Furry FabFour doing their versions of the Beatles' hits...
Taz a.k.a. Ringo Starr!
En Arip was dying to meet Shrek... He waited here for almost 20 minutes!
En. Arip was the only person who managed to drag Shrek out for a photograph!
All the cartoon/film characters won't hang around very long at the theme park. As soon as they appear, u must line up for your pic with them. BTW, they only stay for 5 minutes everytime! In that very short time, u have to snap your pic real fast! We were so lucky to have our pics taken with almost all of the characters! Only the Looney-toon gang was just too elusive for us!
Here are some pics!
Cat woman.
Scooby-Doo's friends minus the dog himself! En Arip was speaking to "Daphne"... Oooohhh, kenal rupanya!
Scooby-Doo's friends...
Fake Miss Marilyn Monroe...
The Batmobile
At Boot Hill... Doesn't the hangman's noose look scary?
The carousel at the kids' section...
I find this red clock so interesting...
Simple tree but very interesting colours...
Cowboy town...
The crowd at the Shrek 3D movie was always big...
Waiting for the All Star Parade...
The crowd getting into their choice spot for the All Star Parade...
I have loads of the parade's pictures, but this is my favourite! "I thot I thaw a puddy tat! I did! I did! I did thaw a puddy tat!"
Like they always say, "That's All Folks!" Can't wait to come back to this place again!
